Dry Aged in a medium toasted Oak barrel. Light has a delicate finish. Baco noir is an extremely vigorous variety that is best grown on heavy soils. The fruit is usually high in acid and produces wines of good quality that are normally deeply pigmented but low in tannin content. What a red! None of this mamby-pamby light stuff. A Baco Noir, created from hybrid grapes, has heft to it - very complex flavors, with wood, spice, richness, texture. Definitely a long finish, something that can go with a rich BBQ ribs dish. Best of all, there's the infamous Purple Mouth that results! You can offer this wine to unsuspecting friends and see if they notice each others tongues. Probably not, they'll be enraptured by the wine's flavor. Did You Know: Baco Noir was developed in the Armagnac region of Bordeaux by Francois Baco. It is one of the French cultivars that has the greatest promise to be produced as a varietal. Because of its unique, attractive flavor, this wine is in great demand. Semi-dry Germanic style red, medium bodied with hints of plum, raspberry and cranberry in the nose and finish. Excellent with Italian food. Displays a brilliant medium garnet color with great legs. Intense, powerful aromas of deep, dark fruits interlaced with toasty vanilla. The wine explodes with powerful, melt in the mouth flavors of blackberries and dark cherries with spicy, earthy components. Firm, fine grained tannins and a rich, opulent mouth feel lead to a very long lingering finish. Excellent upon release but will be outstanding with aging. $14.49/bottle $147.80/case
